Scholastic Book Fair

Description: The Book Fair is an exciting opportunity to nurture your children's love of reading, discover new books, and support the PTA in the process.

Where: Sequoyah Elementary School Media Center

Date: November 17, 2025- November 21, 2025

Time: Books can be purchased at school.  On Tuesday November 18th, the media center will be open until 6pm for after school hour browsing and purchasing.

Set up an eWallet for your child:

Students can purchase with cash or you can make it easy and set up an “eWallet” account for them online through Scholastic. This works like a prepaid credit card, where the children can spend down what is on their account.

Help Give the Gift of Books:

New books can be expensive, but the PTA believes that every child should have unobstructed access to them. There are some families right here in our Derwood community that could use your help in making that a reality for their children. You can help by donating HERE.

Volunteer:

As with all of our events, we need your help to make the Book Fair a success. If you are able, a Signup Genius will be available HERE and distributed prior to the event. All volunteers need to complete the training on the MCPS website.
